Local authorities
Local authorities
For SEND, inclusion and educational psychology services.
We would welcome a conversation about how structured information gathered before referral could sit alongside your existing pathways.
Why now
The independent ADHD Taskforce, in its final report published by NHS England in November 2025, said that in settings that do not make clinical decisions, “support should focus on needs and not rely on or wait for a diagnosis”.
The government’s schools white paper, Every child achieving and thriving (February 2026), proposes earlier identification of need and digital Individual Support Plans, put together with parents and reviewed at least once a year. These changes are subject to consultation and legislation. We would like to understand, with local authorities and schools, whether structured information gathered during play could be useful as that system develops.
What we are building
A browser game designed to measure attention and executive function in children aged 7 to 11 during ordinary play, producing a structured behavioural profile for parents, schools and — with consent — the clinician a child is eventually referred to.
We would welcome a conversation about
- How structured information gathered before referral could sit alongside your graduated approach and existing pathways.
- Data protection and safeguarding.
- Research with your educational psychology service, including trainee educational psychologists on placement.
What taking part would involve
Any work in your area would be agreed with you first: which schools take part, data protection, and how families are told. Details are still being set. We will go through them with you once you get in touch.
What this is not
- Not a diagnostic instrument, and not intended to become one.
- Not a training or intervention product. Nothing here claims to improve anything.
- Not a substitute for clinical assessment, and not a triage tool that gatekeeps access to one.
