What we collect
Only what you send us through the form or by email: your role, name, email address, organisation or university, the options you tick, your borough or county if you give it, and your message. If you are a student, also your course, project-choice deadline, supervisor if you name one, and topics of interest.
Like any website, our host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security. To stop automated spam, the form also keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for up to one hour.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to you and follow up on what you asked for: legitimate interests.
- To send occasional updates, only if you tick the box: consent. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to any update or emailing us.
- To count interest by role and area, so we can plan our work: legitimate interests.
- To keep the website secure and free of spam: legitimate interests.

Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to our use of it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we will reply within one month.
